| TCST held a successful training day to demonstrate to West Coast companies, the patented RPTempering™ process created by PAR3 Technology (formerly Manufacturing By Design) | ||
The training class took place at Saddleback College on July 18, 2006 Total Customer Support Team (TCST) sponsored the session held at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California. Marty McGough and Andrew Graves instructed the class on all aspects of RP Tempering process. The class was well attended with representatives from aerospace, medical, audio products and general service providers. The course included a general overview of the RP Tempering technology followed by detailed information on how the process works as well as a demonstration of Materialise's "3-matic" software (used to create tunnels and "V" Grooves™ directly in the STL files). |
| Then followed a hands on session where the attendees tempered actual SL parts of various configurations. (The process can be applied to most solid freeform fabricated parts from multiple technologies) | ||
Current products along with products in the development process were shared along with known and potential applications. There was active participation from the people attending the class and an excellent interchange of ideas. Feedback from the class has been excellent and we are already working with these users on follow-on evaluation parts and new applications. Current plans are to hold another training class on the west coat within the next 3 months. |
